All symptoms of menopause is a natural part of women’s lives. It’s when period stops due to the drop in estrogen as we age. Period Changes

It doesn’t usually stop abruptly. There is no fixed period but this usually happens around the age of 51. Some experience it in their 40s while other see it later in their 50s. Hot Flashes

Women can experience a sudden feeling of warmth, especially around the upper body. This may be accompanied by redness across the back, chest, and arms. Heavy sweating can occur. Some people have mild hot flashes while others experience it more intensely. The frequency can also vary from one a week to several time per hour.

Vaginal Health

Women may also notice that their vagina is drier than before. With less lubrication, this can result in uncomfortable intercourse. They may also have less sexual urges. After one year without a period, a woman will no longer get pregnant but they can still get infections. Safe sex should still be practiced, particularly outside of monogamous relationships.

Bladder Control

Some women have trouble controlling their bladder. This incontinence can make life a bit more difficult, especially is a person is working outside of the home. They may get sudden urges to urinate and they won’t have much time to find a bathroom. Leaks can occur when laughing, coughing, sneezing, or exercising.

Sleep Problems

The hot flashes can make it hard to sleep for some women. They could wake up in the middle of the night because of this. Even after it stops, they can have trouble going back to sleep. Some wake up too early and lack proper rest.

Mood Changes

This lack of sleep and tiredness can make people more irritable. Mood changes are common during menopause. This may be exacerbated by stresses from work and family. A history of depression could also contribute to mood swings.

Physical Changes

The body can also change rapidly during this time. Some women see wider waists, increased fats, and most muscle mass. Joint aches and memory issues are common as well. Experts are still not sure whether these are directly related to menopause or just natural signs of aging.
