Everyone has a talent or perhaps even several. Everyone has something or many things they are passionate about. However, the fine line between talent and passion blinds many people when it comes to seeking the thing they should be pursuing rather than the thing they simply end up pursuing.
You can be talented at something and not be passionate about it. You can also be passionate about something and not be particularly talented at it. There are ways to correct this so you Find Your Passion, that thing you are good at and love to do. It could take years to find it but with an open mind and some outside help, you can be living your dream of following the path you want to take.
So, how does one go about finding their passion? First of all, make two lists. The first list is the things you love doing and the second list is the things you are good at. Are there duplicates in the lists? If one or more things appear on both lists, these are items that should get the most attention.
However, if none of the items appear twice, you’ll need to choose the things you are most interested in and if you don’t know how to already do them, you can learn! Finding your passion is all about learning, trying new things, eliminating the ones you don’t like and embracing the ones you do.
For example, if you have always wanted to be a writer but your writing skills are not so great, you can take courses or practice your skills by starting your own blog. It may take a while to work up to being a full-time writer and you may have to start small but if you are passionate and persistent enough, you can make your dream come true.
There are many resources available to help you Find Your Passion and here are some of them but make sure to start within yourself first before moving onto outside sources.
1) Books. There are many self-help books out there that help people learn how to be more in tune with their inner voice and intuition.
2)Free courses and lessons. If you want to find out if you like something, try it out for free. There are many free courses online that allow you to try an array of things to see if you like it enough to pursue it.
3) Counselors. It could be a school or university counselor, an online counselor or a local counselor offering such services.
So many people live their lives without ever seeking their passion when it’s so detrimental to your mental and emotional well-being. Everyone should have something they love and turn to for an escape from the stresses of the real world. It’s out there. You just have to find it!
