Once a courier reaches a client, the client should always check the package externally for any damages and sometimes even open it up to not only see if no damages but if it is what they ordered or if for them.

The courier in turn all has the right to photograph or film this so his company can see if anything is wrong or fishy.

So now all the courier needs a signature on his device linked to that package and all is well.
