Whew. Here we are. Almost at the end of 2020! Since we spent much of the last year stuck in the house or hidden behind masks, we know that you are just itching to get back into the hang of a more fashionable, social you.
We asked some of fashion’s insiders to get us the scoop on what 2021 will look like fashion wise… here’s what they had to say!
Japanese Inspired Looks
Think beautiful silks, colorful prints and classic silhouettes. Valentino played with lovely nods to Japanese culture in their winter 2021 show and we for one just cannot get enough! You can get the look for less by investing in silk looks that pop with hints of color.
Shoulder Details
From cold shoulders to very BOLD shoulders, we are seeing a HUGE showing of shoulder details. Think 80s meets the future. Think bold colors meets wearability. This trend is going to be so wearable for both date night and day time. Try a bold winged shoulder for a night out, a cut-out shoulder for a date night and a padded power blazer for your Monday morning meeting.
Graphics
Fashion graphic t shirts paired with button downs are a classic look that even 2020 couldn’t kill. Think crisp button downs playing with band tees. Think chic meets rocker. Buttoned up by day and buttoned down by night. We especially love looks that layer tailored vests over both looks. They really seem to stand out for the workplace and for the street.
Flower Power
We are returning to the 60s with floral vibes of all kinds – bold, dainty, colorful – out there. From bold print pants to blouses in full bloom, flowers are here to stay. Designers like Tom Ford even played with overlapping floral patterns making this trend super quirky and very IG worthy.
As we close out 2020 and we dream of putting our masks away, let’s focus on what new adventures in fashion await us in 2021. From fashion graphic t shirts under your favorite classic button up to floral printed dresses that bring out the gypsy in you and your style, here’s to a very fashionable 2021. May it bring you all the things that you are hoping for, some unexpected good things you didn’t even think to hope for and all the beauty that you also give to the world simply by being you.
