V2 Cigs EX Series: Good Made Better

V2 Cigs EX Series: Good Made Better

V2 Cigs has always been among the major players at the forefront of the e-cig/vaping industry, adding new and exciting items consistently which makes them very much liked by both vaping newcomers and existing customers. This time they have the EX Series to be proud of. Here’s a quick V2 EX Series review for a glimpse of what V2 Cigs has in store for us.

From the Tip to the Side

Perhaps the most notable and innovative modification made by V2 for the EX Series has to do with the LED light indicator. Normally when one vapes, the mini e-cig’s tip lights up, which is a simulation of a real cigarette’s burning end. That light also serves as a battery indicator. It is common to see flashing batteries when power starts to run out reminding the user that it’s time to recharge. This, however, is not without issues. For one, people find flashing lights confusing. Like when there’s only one color, that flashing could mean low vapor and not low power. Then, of course, vapers, being at the other end of the mini e-cig, can’t readily see the tip. And it’s very easy to miss a flash signal through eye blinks.

V2 Cigs came up with an answer by studding the side of EX batteries with tiny but easily seen lights, which added to overall aesthetics as well. As battery power gets used up, the tiny lights go out one at a time. This offers a more straightforward level reading than flashing does.

Color Improvements

Color is another aspect that makes V2 Cigs a thing of beauty. Their Classic e-cigs have been known to sport various colors, but the EX Series creates more impact with patterns and shades that have more gloss and classier appeal. The EX Series comes in 5 colors: Royale, Bloom, Scarlet Metallic, Carbon Fiber, and Brushed Steel. Royale has a playing cards theme going for it while Bloom reminds one of colored blossoms. The 3 other colors make use of white LED lights, Royale incorporates red, and Bloom blends perfectly with pink.

EX Series batteries are priced around $30, which may sound like a lot of money especially if you were used to basic types that give you more than 400 puffs on 280mAh for under $20. But be reminded that that’s just how things are with proprietary batteries: they’re usually expensive.

EX Cartomizers

EX Series cartomizers (atomized cartridges) take pride in featuring a viewing window that allows user to monitor remaining liquid. A very practical and welcome addition that showcases how longer than usual it takes for levels to change: with EX Series cartomizers you enjoy more than 400 puffs, which is two times more than that on the V2 Classic. And, yes, these cartomizers cost more: $5. Available flavors, sadly, are limited to only 6 at the moment: 3 menthol and 3 tobacco styles.
