Renting A Villa In Majorca

Renting A Villa In Majorca

One of the most popular destinations in Europe, the Spanish island of Majorca attracts tourist from all over the world with its unspoiled beaches, great weather and spectacular scenery. Whether you go to lie on the beach or enjoy one of the many outdoor activities available, a villa rental in Majorca is an affordable and practical way to experience the island. Self catering can save money on eating out, and a villa typically gives you a lot more space than the average hotel room or rented apartment.

There are literally thousands of villas in Majorca, and various sites where you can browse villas by location and amenities, and look at photographs to help you make the right choice. Of course, the cost of your villa rental is probably the most important factor, followed by the size. When looking at villas, give some though not only to the number of bedrooms you will need, but the amount of space in general. If you like to eat meals in the dining room, rather than trying to squeeze around a kitchen table, a separate dining room may be a requirement. And plenty of outdoor space or a large living room may be a must if you plan to have people over and host parties or get togethers.

Most villas come with outdoor space; it would be a shame to visit Majorca and not enjoy sitting or eating outside. However, this can vary in size and you should also verify if the property comes with a grill, hot tub, pool or outdoor kitchen if those things are important. Some villas share a pool, which may not matter to you. And you may need a large flat screen TV with satellite or cable, a video game console or a CD player if you are taking the kids with you or like to entertain.

Location is also a major factor. You may want to be as close as possible to the beach, but not have to cross a busy road to get to it, especially if you have children staying there. However, it may be more important to you to be closer to shops and restaurants, but preferably somewhere not too noisy. If your idea of a good holiday is to explore ancient towns, castles and churches, a property offering easy access for sightseeing may be more important. Finally, there is the style of the villa; while many have a traditional Spanish look and feel to them, many are more modern and contemporary. It’s all part of choosing the Majorca villa rental that’s perfect for you.
